Coach Scalzo played high school and collegiate baseball before starting his coaching career at Dunellen High School, then moving to softball under legendary coach Don Panzarella — the mentorship that shaped how he builds programs.
Since taking over Marlboro in 2009, he has turned it into one of New Jersey's premier programs: the school's first-ever NJSIAA Group 4 State Championship in 2023, plus Central Jersey Group 4 Sectional titles in 2024 and 2026. Through Skills & Drills he brings that same culture to every athlete who walks into a session.
